Privacy policy — HireNest

What we collect

Your interview inputs: the current and target roles you enter, the job description you optionally paste, and the answers you type.
Your email address: only when you upgrade to Pro, so we can email your receipt and a link to resume your session.
Payment details: we never see your card data. Paystack handles all payment processing.
Basic site analytics: page views and referrers via Plausible, which does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information.

What we do with it

Generate interview questions and feedback tailored to your pivot, using Anthropic's Claude model accessed via AWS Bedrock.
Store your session in our database (AWS DynamoDB) so you can resume where you left off.
Send you transactional emails (receipt, resume link). No marketing email unless you explicitly ask for it.

What we do NOT do

We do not sell your data. To anyone. Ever.
We do not use your answers to train AI models. Bedrock has zero data retention for model training by default.
We do not share your data with third parties for marketing.
We do not use third-party tracking cookies (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel).

Third parties we share data with (only because we have to)

AWS (hosting, database, AI model inference) — encrypted in transit and at rest.
Paystack (payment processing) — receives your email and payment details when you upgrade.
Zoho Mail (transactional email delivery) — receives your email address so we can send you a receipt and resume link.

How long we keep it

Interview sessions are kept indefinitely so you can revisit them. If you want yours deleted, email support@hirenest.blog with the session link and we'll delete it within 7 days.

Your rights

You can ask us to export or delete any data we hold about you. Email support@hirenest.blog and we'll respond within 7 days.
